17 jan was my last day at the student care center. no point just working for 3 hrs in the morning everyday since the afternoon p4 class i cannot take cuz parent complain and they're changing teacher. would rather find another full time job. dun wanna stay and give her more trouble also. think i'm not cut out for teaching la, cannot control the kids. well, learn a few useful lessons along the way. hope i won't make the same mistakes if i'm going into teaching next time.
had a four day stint as a drinks promoter at thomson plaza for the pre-cny period. the people there are quite friendly and nice. =) but it's only fun if there's business, otherwise can stone. haha. mm.. just dun like that the f&n supervisor treat us like enemy, so black face de. i suppose is abit like rival companies but dun need to be so serious mah. they need to relax sia.
the dxo party was... ok. still prefer union. the air con there like totally not working, so bloody warm after just like 3 dance. *rolls eyes* it's pretty crowded too. kept stepping on ppl for the first 2 or 3 hrs. haiz. the 2nd level of the place is pretty cosy though. the outdoor part is quite nice too, under the night sky, except tt can see some kitchen in the building in front. =x haha.
just signed a temp contract with recuit express to work at cpf board as customer service officer (they always make it sound so nice right? haha) for 3 months. starting 10 feb. lower pay than what p-serv offered but it's office hours instead of rotating shift kind. prefer to be able to plan my other activities around work. dun like the contract. my lagi if things go wrong and none of the benefits or anything. but i won't let myself regret what's done anyway. only result in discontent. just hope my collegues and supervisor are nice. sometimes the right people make things more bearable. the wrong people... nvm, shall not jinx it. *crosses fingers*
still can't really get the figure 8 thingy right for exotic, and abit forget the model turn le. we're starting cheoro next week. kinda excited. hahaha. trying to get karyn to show me the lap dance workshop routine. oooo. haha.
i think new year visiting is quite boring, like keep eating and getting fat. this year not too bad though. got to watch ice princess at my aunt's house. the figure skating is really fabulous. still trying to figure out what's the difference between all the triple turns which look the same but go by different names. they look so graceful and amazing. really appreciate the artistic and technical skills needed for figure skating. it's really not easy. have a sudden urge to go learn or something. haha. but, nah, can't even ice skate so i'm just waiting for this san fen zong re du (three minute hotness? lol) to go away. been watching the skating scenes over and over again. they're just so amazing, like dancing on ice. *sighs wistfully* hahaha. wish local tv broadcasts figure skating competitions. i remember they used to... hmm. the songs in the movie, arrangement and insertion included, are pretty good too. i've watched like at least 3 or 4 times. think i can recite some of their script already. my favourite has to be gen saying 'i want to stop feeling like an idiot for flunking math because i don't have the time to learn it.' lol. like the build-up to that line, her tone and expression. it's a feel-good kinda movie, almost fairytale-like. i guess it appeals because we could do with a bit of fairytale and dreaming as a respite from the real world. k, shall not go into how media provides an escape from reality and such.
caught up with my cousins this afternoon. ling's doing econs at ntu and staying at the hostel. heard all y1s have a place at the hostel if they want to stay, unlike nus, where one has to fight for a place.
i wanna watch memiors of a geisha and i not stupid 2. will be free til 10 feb til work starts. hope to catch up with friends too. haven't been seeing them online much. *hint hint* haha. miss you peeps. hope everyone is doing well. =)
